How limiting beliefs impact and interfere with success
Limiting beliefs are thoughts or attitudes that we may consciously or unconsciously hold onto that limit our partnership, our business and us. These beliefs often prevent our natural growth from moving more smoothly and progressively. We may not even be aware that such an idea is a belief, let alone a limiting belief. We just assimilate these ideas into our existence and it simply becomes the way we see the world and ourselves. These beliefs are usually intact by the time we are seven years old.
In order to be more aware of our subconscious thinking we have to know which beliefs are limiting our lives. Even if your life is good right now and your business is doing well, there is so much more that awaits you as you become more aware of your thinking.
This process can take hours or even weeks of reflection. Take your time and be curious to investigate your past. It provides information about attitudes and beliefs that you may or may not continue to hold today. Positive, as well as negative memories are equally as significant.
Here are some examples of limiting beliefs. Check the ones that resonate with you.

BLOG: A WRITTEN VISION FOR MY IDEAL LIFE
This week’s question comes from Kaya who asks:
"I have a written vision for my ideal life and read it frequently but things are not changing. My most pressing issue is lack of money and my vision includes no longer having any debt or money concerns. Every time I go to pay my bills the reality of my situation confronts me and I feel my energy being lowered. Any suggestions on what I can do? ~Kaya Douglas"
Great question, Kaya!
Great question, Kaya! Your thinking and your mindset around money is the culprit. Once you make a firm decision to change your beliefs around money things will shift. Let me explain. When you focus on lack that is what you will attract more of. You say your pressing issue is lack of money. I suggest you re-frame that in your thinking to something more empowering such as …. “I am creating an abundant cash flow where I always have what I need.” I am not sure how you have written out your vision so make sure you don’t use the words,” debt “or money concerns, or lack of money as part of your vision. Even when it is written as “I no longer have any debt or money concerns, or I am so happy to be debt free and not have a lack of money”, etc… your subconscious mind will not know that you really don’t want debt or money concerns. You will be imprinting “lack and not enough” which would naturally lower your energy and create more of the same. If you need some help please contact me and let’s schedule a strategy session and I will help you calibrate your vision to match your true desire.
Here are my initial recommendations:
-Start a daily gratitude practice. Focus on 5 things you are grateful for and also include your abundant cash flow on your list. Gratitude is the emotion harmonious with abundance. It will also raise your energy making you more aligned with being the woman who lives an abundant life.
-Pick up a copy of Your Invisible Power by Genevieve Behrend and read it frequently and begin to implement the visualization practices. Although written in the early 1900’s, this 60 page book is packed full of gems on visualization and how to attract what you desire. She was the only student of Thomas Troward and her story of how that occurred is a teaching point in and of itself. Troward was an English author and judge whose works influenced the New Though Movement and mystical Christianity. He is best known for the Edinburg Lectures on Mental Science.
-Lastly understand that there is a vast difference between the condition you see when you go to pay your bills and the truth of all that is available to you. We live in an abundant universe; just look around in nature. It is our birthright to have the things we desire and to use them in the betterment of ourselves and others. A huge key here is to stop focusing on what you don’t have and focus on what you want. My suggestion is to do something different when you are paying your bills that keeps your energy high and creates a new experience for you. I often play uplifting music and feel grateful for the money I do have and often write “thank you” on the checks.
To Your Abundant Life!
